Medical Injections
As we age, dynamic muscle movement under the skin can create lines and wrinkles, eventually becoming noticeable upon rest. Aundrea has been performing Botox injections for many years, helping individuals maintain a youthful and softer appearance.
These Health Canada approved purified proteins (Botox, Xeomin and Dysport) are injected into specific areas of the face to promote the appearance of smoother skin.
These medical injectables start to work within 24-48 hours and typically last 3-4 months. The efficacy of these injections make them the most popular non-surgical procedure worldwide.
This procedure is not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women, people with current infections or severe allergies, nor Individuals on certain prescribed medications. Full consultation before treatment is required.
Upon arrival
The initial Botox appointment can last up to 45 minutes. During this time a thorough medical history consultation will be completed, educating the client on what amount of medication would be best suited for them. This allows each individual to decide which direction they would like to start regarding this service. Full consent forms are signed while confidential medical photos are taken.
Treatment
The skin should be cleared of all make-up and creams before each appointment. Pre-cleansing of any makeup or oils will take place followed by the application of topical numbing cream. Ice and a mild vibration help to minimize discomfort from the injections, while a small, fine needle is used to perform the treatment, which is completed in as little as 10 minutes.
Post Care
Mild redness and slight swelling can be seen after the injections and last for 10-20 minutes. Bruising is always a possibility with injections but is less common. To help reduce bruising avoid the unnecessary use of blood thinners such as; alcohol, Vitamin E, Aspirin, fish oil, or Ginseng prior to treatments.
